Welcome to the blog! From what I can tell, people use blogs in the way other generations used diaries, a place to pour out the happenings of the day and to reflect on its meaning. My blog, however, will be more in the manner of a notepad or scrapbook. As I carry out the research for my book, uncover intriguing findings and wrestle with the story I am writing, I will try and share some of these discoveries with you, dear Reader. Some ideas will make it into the book, others will become footnotes or trivia that may, perhaps, appear in a later work. And with that thought, this concludes the first blog entry.
